Battery operated devices
such as inverters,
military communication
devices and radio
beacons, railroad
equipment, etc., need to
be tested over long
periods of time and no
battery can provide so
much current. Also the
battery voltage cannot
be adjusted to check the
entire input range.
The 1000VA rectifier is
an AC operated battery
replacement capable of
continuous supply of
100A @ 10 to 16VDC and
50A @ 20 to 32VDC when
used with a variable
autotransformer.
The unit consists of a
1000W isolated
transformer with input
of 110V or 220V, 50 or
60Hz. A bridge rectifier
is used with a filter
consisting of a high
current choke and
electrolytic capacitors.
Two 92 CFM ball bearing
air fans provide cooling
of internal components.
The unit is protected by
a 20A AC circuit breaker
with manual reset. Two
analog meters indicate
DC output voltage and
current. Output
connectors provide for
heavy duty battery
cables, with diameter up
to 3 gauge.
TR-1000VA-RECT is
packaged in a sturdy
steel 4U rack mount
enclosure with provision
for chassis slides. The
dimensions are 19"W x
7"H x 17"D. Shipping

EQUIPMENT
The 1000W resistive 120V
AC load is provided in a
4U high rack mount
enclosure. The unit
consists of 10X 100W
120V standard light
bulbs mounted in screw
sockets. Four front
panel switches provide
for load adjustment in
increments of 100W. Two
analog meters are
provided to display AC
voltage and current.
Cooling is provided by
four push-pull 43 CFM AC
ball bearing fans. A 20A
AC circuit breaker is
provided with manual
reset.
TR-1000-LOAD has
provision for chassis
slides. The dimensions
are 19"W x 7"H x 17"D.
