Herbaceous Peony Collection

The herbaceous peony is the imperial flower of China.  The city of Luoyang in centre China, where my wife was born and raised is recognized as the peony capital of the world.  They host the International Peony Fair in April each year.  For some reason peony flowers are double in size in Luoyang and nowhere else. 

We are located near Acton, Ontario and we are members of the Canadian Peony Society.  We have 85 peony plants in our collection in various stages of growth.  You are welcome to see our peonies bloom in the last two weeks of June each year.

The peony is a symbol of love and affection and is representative of good luck and of spring in the cycle of the four seasons.
